| Administrative History | Crow Wood Hospital was completed in 1899 as the Widnes Isolation Hospital. After the establishment of the NHS in 1948 it was used at first for post-operative patients, and then in 1955 disabled children and children with learning disabilities. Subsequently it was used for adults with learning disabilities and geriatric patients' . It is now closed. |
